Roger Boggs, Ph.D.

Dr. Roger Boggs has been with the Warner Babcock Institute since its founding in 2007. From 2005-2007, Dr. Boggs was the Director of Research at the Center for Green Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. Prior to this, he was a Senior Group Leader at Polaroid, where he worked for 23 years. Dr. Boggs' technical focus areas at Polaroid included silver based photography, and the design of novel infrared dyes and thermally sensitive colorless materials. He has also worked in the graphic arts industry and in the development and manufacturing of limited play DVDs. Dr. Boggs holds a B.A. from Marietta College, and a Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He did his post doctoral work with Professor Leo Paquette at The Ohio State University. Dr. Boggs is the co-inventor of 23 patents and the author of 12 publications in the areas of photographic imaging chemistry, novel chromophores for diverse applications, and organic chemistry.
