Dr. Justin Whitfield has been with the Warner Babcock Institute since its founding in 2007. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Bridgewater State University and earned his Ph.D. in Green Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2011. Dr. Whitfield’s interests and specializations are many at the Institute but typically include enzymatic catalysis, thin film coatings, formulation and analysis, as well as electron microscopy. He has helped invent several successful green chemistry technologies here at the institute with one patent granted and several pending. In addition, Dr. Whitfield is also serving on the President’s Science and Math Advisory Council at Bridgewater State University
